About Lindsay from The Social Place: Lindsay Sganga is a millennial on a social media mission. After graduating from Journalism school she could feel the world was taking a turn when it came to media, and she knew she needed to be at the forefront of it, thus began her social media & digital career. When everyone around her was mastering print & television, her attention was captivated by blogging, Facebook, Instagram and digital content creation. She made a space for herself in this digital industry at the age of 20 from working with up and coming bloggers to becoming a digital editor at the age of 22, but she didn’t stop there. Right at the height of the social media takeover, she worked to create social media content and campaigns with companies such as Chevrolet and Topshop Canada as the Social Media Director at Toronto’s, Notable Life Inc.

After a few years of incredible experience, she realized something was missing. There was far too great of a gap between her and the client, and she could no longer abide by the methods of traditional marketing. She decided to start her own agency The Happy Place by Lindsay Sganga, where the platform is storytelling, the ethos is authenticity and the mission is investors over followers. In January of 2020 Lindsay’s business expanded beyond her to a team, the dream team for social media thus The Happy Place evolved into The Social Place. Her mission today is to help businesses create a presence online that stands out amongst the rest and can evolve with digital change.
